Exposure to these chemicals even at low levels are linked to numerous health concerns; cancer, fertility problems, thyroid disease, decreased immune system in children, reduced hormone function.
PFAS chemicals pass through wastewater treatment systems, bioaccumulate in humans/animals.
Humans can become exposed if fast food packaging contains PFAS; Hot food triggers the rapid release of PFAS chemicals and they leach into our food and bodies.
